NEW YORK—June 29, 2021—Morgan James’ new release, Canine Heaven by Gary Woodson, is an endearing story of hope fulfilled in the lives of Quito and Ben, two friends for life that just so happen to be canines. A children’s story fostering empathy and perseverance, Canine Heaven encourages children to not only look after their own personal interests, but also the interests of others.
Based on the author, Gary Woodson’s, real-life experiences with two of his family’s nine dogs, Canine Heaven is told from Quito and Ben’s points of view as they search for a new home after having been abandoned, again. When Quito realizes his friend, Ben, is too frail to go in search of a new home, he sets out on his own to find a loving family for the both of them.
Including themes of friendship, perseverance, compassion, and sacrifice, Canine Heaven motivates children to take positive action against the abuse of animals in their communities and teaches them to push through adversity to fulfill their dreams.
