About the Author:
Robert C. Mowry was inspired to write Last Wolf at Eagle Well while on a camping trip to Datil Well. While drinking water from the same well the cattle did long ago on their drive to market down the old Hoof Highway, listening to elk bugle and coyotes call, he became acquainted with the local BLM Ranger. Being an amateur historian, the vast amounts of old western action in this area stirred his mind into combining events of yesteryear into affecting a murder of today. Thus, the fictitious Wolf family and the Eagle Well were born and lay the background for BLM Ranger Jimmy Hanson’s murder.
Robert’s current historical books are: Smoking Springs, Adobe Gold, and Tucson Knights. His contemporary western, Fugitive Father is also back in print. He and his wife are longtime residents of New Mexico. He has spent many years involved into bringing water to the arid desert and has been involved in funds development for a major international ministry.
