Chalottesville, VA – October 26, 2021 Morgan James, an independent publishing company, has announced its intent to sponsor the guest library at the Ronald McDonald House. Established in 2003, Morgan James publishes material to educate, encourage, inspire, and entertain. The library at the Ronald McDonald House is a perfect location to support the transformative value of reading for those who are managing difficult health challenges within their families – specifically the serious illness or injury of a child. The library will now have not only its long-standing lending system, but will also offer a “giving” component – allowing guests to take home Morgan James titles of interest to them. A small gathering to celebrate this new collaboration will be held at the House on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11 am.
David Hancock, Founder and CEO of Morgan James. has revolutionized book publishing from the author’s standpoint, and has had significant impact on the industry, as a whole. Mr. Hancock stated: “We are thrilled to sponsor this wonderful amenity for the guests. We are also honored to dedicate the library program to the memory of young Thomas George, whose parents – Charles and Claire – stayed at the House for many months during Thomas’ battle with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). Sponsoring the library is our way of supporting current and future families staying at the House, while honoring a young man and his parents who have inspired us”. Executive Director of the House, Rita Ralston, expressed her profound appreciation for this support. “The library program has been very special to us since its inception in 2016. To have this level of meaningful support from Morgan James, and to have it in the Thomas’ memory, makes it extraordinarily special to us”.
