NEW YORK—October 11, 2016—Morgan James’s new release, What If It Were Possible? by Joanne Miller, with illustrations by 8-year old Clara Isabel Logsdon, invites kids to imagine what could happen if anything was possible.
So often, young children are told to focus on the real world and be serious, when creative play is really what helps them learn best. Miller believes in the philosophy of creativity as well. Her crazy scenarios and silly imaginings will have kids laughing and thinking at the same time. Reading What If It Were Possible? will have kids questioning why things happen the way they do, and which other things may therefore be possible. It will create curious minds, encouraging lifelong learning through asking the right questions. Additionally, What If It Were Possible? may encourage children to think up their own crazy scenarios and inspire them to be more innovative by thinking outside the box.
What If It Were Possible? was a joint project between Miller and her granddaughter, Clara Logsdon, with Miller writing the words and Logsdon providing all of the pictures. Young readers will instantly be able to connect with a book if they see that someone their age has drawn all the pictures. Clara will become a source of inspiration for all child readers, and take the message of “what if it were possible?” even further. If Clara can be a published illustrator at the age of eight, it is possible for other children to achieve their dreams as well.
