NEW YORK—May 29, 2018—Morgan James Kid’s new release, You Are You-nique by Katy Newton Naas, illustrated by Melanie Ellison, is a faith-based children’s book that teaches acceptance of self and others and promotes confidence in young readers.

You Are You-nique is a charming rhyme book that begins with the story of creation. It explains how mankind is special to God, and that children were each carefully crafted by Him to be just as they are. About the Author: Katy Newton Naas spends much of her time chasing her two young sons, three dogs, four cats, and eight ducks. She is the author of many children’s and young adult books, including Young Adult Book of the Year Award-winning novel, Healing Rain, and Literary Classics Book Award-winning middle grade novel, Guardian. In addition to being a writer, Katy is a middle school reading and language arts teacher. Outside of work, Katy is passionate about serving as youth leader in her church. She currently resides in Norris City, IL.

Melanie Ellison is an artist and student at the University of Southern Indiana. Her award-winning pieces have appeared in art shows across the Midwest. You Are You-nique is her first children’s book. She also lives in Norris City.
