NEW YORK—October 9, 2018—Morgan James’ new book release, We’re Good: The Power of Faith, Hope, and Determination by Meg Keeshan McGovern, tells the true story of a young athlete whose life was changed forever in an instant. It helps to encourage anyone that is facing a difficult time in their life.
After a simple dive into the ocean, teenage athlete Chris O’Brien hit a sandbar, and was left paralyzed. As a D-1 athlete that was heavily involved in swimming and sailing, this paralyzation drastically altered the path of his life. We’re Good shows readers how he overcame the seemingly impossible challenges that this life-changing moment brought.
We’re Good is not only the story of Chris O’Brien’s personal determination, but also a story of family. It describes the roller coaster of emotions that the O’Brien family endured as they went through the stages of grief, denial, anger, therapy, and eventually triumph. Throughout its pages, readers discover how this family’s love and support gave Chris the strength that he needed. Readers also learn how to come out on the other side of their own personal struggles stronger than ever before.
