NEW YORK–April 7, 2015–Morgan James Publishing’s (www.Morgan-James.com) new release, Dyslexic and Un-stoppable: How Dyslexia Helps Us Create the Life of Our Dreams and How You Can Do It Too by Lucie M. Curtiss and Douglas C. Curtiss, explains their own journey with dyslexia and offers tips for other families dealing with dyslexia.

Dyslexic and Un-stoppable offers a new perspective on dyslexia. Written primarily by a dyslexic, Dyslexic and Un-stoppable celebrates dyslexia and educates readers about its benefits as well as its difficulties. Lucie dispels the lie that people with dyslexia have a lower intelligence; they are often the smartest and most creative individuals around. Dyslexia literally means “trouble with reading.” People with dyslexia learn differently, but once they learn a concept, it sticks with them.

Because Lucie was not dDyslexicAndUnstoppableiagnosed with dyslexia until after she finished formal education, she learned to cope with it on her own. Now that she knows she has it, she can look back over her schooling career and see where the dyslexia made it difficult and how she learned to combat the difficulties. She recounts her growing up years in Dyslexic and Un-stoppable to encourage others who have dyslexia and to explain what it is like to those who do not have it. As a successful nurse and entrepreneur, her story proves that people with dyslexia can do anything they set their minds to.

Douglas and Lucie’s son, FéZander, also has dyslexia. Unlike Lucie, they identified him early and were able to use therapy to help him excel in all areas of his schoolwork. Readers will fall in love with this hardworking, thoughtful genius as Lucie describes how dyslexia has made him truly “unstoppable.”

In order to make it easier for readers with dyslexia to read Dyslexic and Un-stoppable, Douglas and Lucie provide bulleted chapter summaries and videos on their website to parallel with sections in the chapters. Dyslexic and Un-stoppable provides a unique glimpse into a life with dyslexia. It empowers and encourages those with dyslexia and enables parents without it to understand and help their children.
