About the Author: Malia B. Crandall faced one significant trauma after another from the time she was born. She first experienced physical and emotional abuse from her mother and grandmother; before she even entered school, she suffered ongoing sexual abuse that taught her to choose the wrong kind of men in her life and resulted in a long-term marriage marred by unrelenting abuse. After one of her children died, Malia was finally able to go to therapy and work on the ghosts from her past.
