Author Relations Manager (ARM)

 

THE JOB:
This position is full time.  Schedule is 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
 
Our Customer Service Representatives are called ARMS – Author Relations Managers.  Each ARM is assigned authors to walk through our publishing process.

 

Morgan James offers un-parrelled customer service to create and maintain great relationships with our authors.

 

An ARM is the lifeblood of Morgan James and includes responsibilities such as email, answering the phone and walking an author through the entire publishing process.

 

The ability to create a great connection with an author on the telephone and through email is crucial to this position.

 

You must:

  • Have excellent communication and listening skills
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Want to work hard on a friendly team
  • Are willing, able, and ready to learn, and to give unparalleled customer service
  • Have a great telephone manner
  • Are extremely reliable and consistent
  • Enjoy talking on the phone
  • Are eager to develop and grow new skills

 

THE PAY:
Initial pay will be salary and is based on experience and qualifications, with evaluation in 90 days for pay raise.
 
Interviewing will span about two weeks and include several phone and one to two in-person interviews.  The last interview is a half-day interview where you spend time with people doing the job, so you can fully understand what the job is about.

Senior Author Liaison Executive (SALE)

 

THE JOB:
This position is full or part time.  Schedule is flexible and totally in your control.
 
Our Senior Author Liaison Executives are called SALE’s – SALE’s recruit authors to be considered into our Entrepreneurial Publishing™ Model and will walk potential authors through the submission to acceptance/rejection process.

 

Morgan James offers un-parrelled customer service to create and maintain great relationships with our authors.

 

A SALE is the backbone of Morgan James and includes responsibilities such as email, initial manuscript review and walking an author through the entire submission process.

 

The ability to create a great connection with an author on the telephone and through email is crucial to this position.

Pay is commission based.  A SALE can also earn residual income based on book performance.
